Because I am insane ambitious, today I'm cooking a turkey dinner with all the trimmings despite the fact that it's just me and T. this year. Thus, this week's springkink prompts will be late. ^^;;

(But there will be PIE. Caramel pumpkin pie, to be exact. ::nomnomNOM::)

I spent a day last year wandering around the streets of Gherla, a small town in Cluj County, Romania. All that's really there are an Armenian-Cathloic Cathedral (the city used to have a large Armenian population), a synagogue, and a communist-era prison.

thanks again to my sister for devising a fun family evening for mum's early xmas present: tickets to see garrison keillor do his thang at blumenthal sunday night. dinner @ rock bottom brewery beforehand was nummilicious, as well, so thanks to the aunts for being gracious enough to fund that, even though i *tried* to chip in on that....

the rest of last week/weekend was pretty well spent trying to combat the effects of all the painkillers from last week's dental work, so i KNOW i missed a few things i REALLY wanted to do/see...
{sorry to bunnyboy & zebedeegoddess especially! i intended to come over to the housewarming, but apparently my body needed a nap after the xmess show... which i found out when i woke up 'round 8ish that evening... d'OH!}


i'm glad that the dental trauma has mostly subsided this week.... work is a little slow so far, but that's normal going into a holiday... can't wait 'till *next* week....

I'll see you fine folk on Saturday. I'm still sniffly, but feeling better. Thus I'm off to the 'rents, and then up way too early tomorrow morning to drive down to Tampa for Thanksgiving with my father's side of the family.

I can taste my aunt's mustard greens already!
